LIfe Is Full of Bitterness

Today was a day of mixed emotions. Started the day rather delighted with the end of my examination week after Human Resource Management finals, ended the day helping a poor uncle from China who is lost in Putrajaya Sentral when he's supposed to head to Bank of China in Jalan Ampang.

Well, let's start from the examination. The examination was fairly easy as compared to my previous two examinations, Public Sector Accounting and E-Commerce. Because of this, I'm truly delighted by that. Did the feedback master list for D2Y's post-mortem for camp and went to 1 Utama to window-shop. Although it was merely window-shopping, I truly find satisfaction in my very own shopping therapy (LOL!!). Kind of upset when the McD's employee and supervisor told Kah Seng that he cannot refill our drink because it's a take-away but the nightmare has only started.

While we were at the bus stop, we just noticed that there's a Chinese middle-aged uncle in his 50s. We never really bothered to talk to him since he's just a mere stranger at that time. When we boarded U43 to Putrajaya Sentral, he was in the bus with us. Then, when we were about to reach Putrajaya Sentral, he spoke to Kah Seng asking to ask for directions. Realizing that he was speaking Mandrin with a strong China accent, we tried to help him since he's a Chinese national. He had a strong stench of sweat on him. We could only help him after getting down from the bus. He had 3 pieces of paper that says KL Sentral, KLCC and Bank of China (Jalan Ampang). He told us that he's going to Bank of China and was instructed to go to KL Sentral and KLCC first before that but he's in the middle of nowhere in Putrajaya Sentral!!

Since E1 buses were no longer in service at that time (11.20pm), we had to send him to take ERL to KL Sentral. He didn't really have money though. Only about RM10 consisting of RM1 notes and coins. So Kah Seng decided to contribute some money to his ERL trip to KL Sentral. There were a few things that I noticed about poor man:
  • neither could he converse nor read any form of English
  • he sported a very strong stench of sweat, leading me to conclude that he has probably been stranded for a few days (possibly surviving through money begging)
  • his personal belongings: his passport, Bank of China account book and a few pennies without any clothes (all in a sling bag carried around his shoulders)

After we sent him off at the ERL station and reached Cyberjaya, Kah Seng then realized that he forgot to tell the man where to get down from the train T.T That was really unfortunate for that man. We certainly hope that the poor guy doesn't get himself stranded again
